Maintenance and precautions for TEREX spare parts engine lubrication system

The primary function of the TEREX spare parts engine lubrication system is to prevent friction between components with relative motion.

The circulation process of oil in the lubrication system – the gear type oil pump draws oil from the oil pan, passes through the oil cooler and filter, and flows to the left and right camshaft oil passages and main oil passages, respectively. Through the main oil passages, oil is supplied to the turbocharger, crankshaft, piston, cooling nozzle, and other parts. After completing the task, the oil naturally flows back to the oil pan based on its own gravity, and then begins the next cycle.

Oil level check

The oil level checked during engine shutdown is relatively accurate. During the inspection, it should be ensured that the TEREX spare engine is placed horizontally.

Replace the oil filter element

Please replace the oil filter every time you change the oil or when the pressure difference of the oil filter reaches 103 kPa. Note: Do not attempt to clean the oil filter and reuse it.

Drain oil

Before changing the oil, it is necessary to drain the old oil first. Be careful not to drain the oil when the engine is cold. Because waste particles settle at the bottom of the oil pan when the engine oil is cold, these waste particles may not be discharged together with the cold engine oil. After the engine is running and the oil is still warm, drain the oil in the oil pan, which is beneficial for draining the waste particles suspended in the oil as well.

Disassemble and inspect the old filter element

Cut off the end caps on both sides of the oil filter element. Unfold the pleated paper and check the filter element for metal debris. Excessive metal debris in the TEREX spare parts filter element of the Terex accessory may indicate early wear or impending failure. Use a magnet to separate ferrous and non ferrous metals found in the oil filter element.

Add oil

Remove the oil filler cap. Oil can only be added to the crankcase through the oil filler neck.

Crankcase breather

The crankcase respirator is a simple ventilation device installed above several valve covers and then connected to the outside of the generator room through a breathing tube, which is connected to the atmosphere. The TEREX spare parts crankcase respirator and breathing tube should be kept free from blockage and oil accumulation.

The company mainly sells TEREX spare parts for Terex off-road rigid dump trucks, including TR100, TR50, TR60, TR353307/3305 series products. Terex spare parts include TR100, MT3700, MT4400, MT5500, Terex spare parts, and other mining dump truck components such as Allison transmission parts, Cummins engine parts, hydraulic seals, high and low voltage harnesses, hydraulic cylinders, machined parts, gears, and chassis series.
